I am currently responsible for the Chemical Analysis department at INESCOP, where I have more than 24 years of experience carrying out technical assistance, research and pre-regulation studies, and quality control on the analysis of potentially critical substances in footwear materials, achieving a High specialization in the development, fine-tuning and accreditation of analytical methodologies for application in materials for the footwear sector.

In addition, I am an expert in the chemical characterization of materials used in the footwear sector and I have extensive experience in investigating the causes of problems with these materials.

Since 2006 I have actively participated as an expert in the working group on chemical tests of the European Committee for Leather Standardization CEN/TC 289.

I have directed several research projects related to the potential of materials to generate allergic contact dermatitis from footwear, and this has given me extensive experience on allergens in footwear, having given various presentations at national and international conferences on allergic dermatitis in Contact.

I have extensive teaching experience in face-to-face training and through webinars on analysis methodology.
