José Lorenzo Herrero Rico
For more than 3 decades I have worked at Grupo Pepe Herrero, a company dedicated to the manufacture of shoe lasts. During this time I have performed management, production, design and technology tasks.
Innovation and technology have always been among my priorities. This has led me to participate in numerous fit projects and technical design of lasts with important multinational footwear companies. I have also carried out my own projects or with technology centers such as INESCOP, collaborating in developments related to CAM manufacturing based on numerical control, 3D CAD of lasts, 3D digitizers, robotic chains, characterization of model feet, etc.
I am currently a researcher at the Functional Footwear Analysis Laboratory of INESCOP, in which I participate in different projects related to the comfort of footwear, as well as in the preparation of reports and advice for companies on issues of fits, lasts, sizes and foot biometrics. .
I am a regular participant as a speaker and lecturer in seminars, webinars, conferences and publications of technical and informative articles on footwear.
I have extensive teaching experience. I have taught classes in footwear courses both face-to-face, online, national and international. I would highlight the Professional Specialization Diploma Courses, the University Master's Degree in Footwear and the University Specialist in Footwear.
