Dr. Marcelo Bertazzo
I have done postdoctoral studies at the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Tübingen, Germany, in the group of Prof. Dr. Roderich Süssmuth, and at the University of Murcia, in the Department of Genetics and Microbiology, in the group of Prof. Dr. Antonio Sánchez Amat.
For 14 years I have been working in the field of microbiology, sustainability and recovery of waste related to footwear, currently being responsible for the INESCOP Biotechnology Laboratory.
I am a member of the ISO International Committee for Standardization (ISO / TC 216 / WG 05 "Footwear and microbiological aspects") and AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification). In 2019 I have obtained the prize for the "Best National Innovation in Biotechnology of the year" in Spain, awarded by the Club of Inventors of Spain for the INESCOP Biodegradation Measurement Equipment patent. I am the author, together with other members of INESCOP, of 4 invention patents related to the area of biotechnology/microbiology.
Among the activities that I develop in INESCOP, the following stand out: advising companies, training and preparation and execution of projects at the national level, participation in conferences and seminars and publications of technical-scientific articles and informative material.
