Mónica Sanchís Molla
I began my professional career at INESCOP as a researcher. Since 2017 I have been in charge of the Footwear Functional Analysis Department.
Before joining INESCOP, I worked as a senior occupational risk prevention technician, carrying out safety and industrial hygiene and ergonomics assessments applied to work positions.
At INESCOP I have participated in numerous national and international projects. My activity has focused on studies of the morphometry of the foot, comfort and slip in the footwear sector; also in the study of sensitizing components in the footwear sector, migration factors and detection limits and contact sensitization; non-invasive testing techniques in polymeric materials; new methods of analysis and optimization of methodologies for critical control substances in the footwear sector; pyrolysis and biodegradation of tanned leather; etc.
In addition, I have extensive experience in the analysis of footwear and in the preparation of reports on the measurement of feet and lasts, fit, dimensional evaluation of footwear, wear and comfort tests, as well as functional analysis using techniques of applied bioengineering such as internal and external baropodometry, surface electromyography, infrared thermography, motion analysis, etc.
I have several publications on the slip resistance of footwear and I actively participate in the delivery of training courses at professional training and expert level. I currently teach classes in the "Master in Design, New Technologies and Innovation Management in the footwear sector" at the University of Alicante and have been a speaker at different congresses in which footwear-related issues have been discussed.
