During my 23-year professional career, I have coordinated and participated in many European, national and regional R&D projects in different areas, mainly related to the footwear industry: polymers, adhesion and adhesives for the footwear industry, development of sustainable materials, recovery of waste from the footwear sector and components, calculation of environmental impacts with indicators such as the carbon footprint, etc.
Currently, my activity is mainly focused on advising companies on the European REACH Regulation for the control of dangerous substances used in footwear, on circular economy, eco-design and environmental footprint. In addition, I work in the preparation and execution of projects at the national and European level, in the organization and participation in conferences and seminars, as well as in the publication of technical-scientific articles and informative material.
My teaching experience is wide and varied. I have given specialized training related to adhesives in footwear and currently the courses I teach are more focused on legislation on chemical substances, environmental legislation, eco-design, circular economy and carbon footprint.
